One of our wonderful local partners recently had a visit to five famous Dragons on BBC One…

Fearne and Rosie appeared in the Den earlier this month to pitch their reduced sugar jams business.  Owner Rachel secured a deal with Mr Lalvani, but later revealed that she chose to turn down the offer.

Politician Rishi Sunak has congratulated the business for the Dragon’s Den appearance, as well as recently visiting to tour the production area and see how the range is made.

Rachel began her business with the aim to create a healthier, tastier choice for children and their families when it came to fillings and spreads. She thought standard jams had a lot of sugar and wanted to create a healthier alternative. 

Rachel says she really enjoyed her time at the Den.

“Being a part of Dragon’s Den was a once in a lifetime experience. I am so grateful to the team at the BBC, the Dragons and to Team Tej for all their support. We feel so lucky to have been a part of such an iconic show. It was really a dream come true.

“The response since the show has been overwhelming. We have been inundated with messages of support, kind words and orders. We are so grateful and feel incredibly lucky to have such positive support for the business. Thank you so much!”

The local business, based in the Yorkshire Dales, has supported 28 of our Community Food Members with their jam donations by using our free collection service.
