Gareth said: “I am incredibly proud of my time as CEO of FareShare Yorkshire. It has been a real privilege working with amazing community groups who seek to tackle Food Insecurity, working with an amazing, dedicated and hardworking team of volunteers, staff, trustees alongside our key strategic partners.

After 11 memorable years, stepping down from the Charity comes with some sadness, but as FareShare Yorkshire looks to the future and how it continues to be innovative and community focused, I feel the time is right for someone new to drive its work forward in an even more impactful and sustainable way.

I look forward to working with the wider FareShare family in my new role at FareShare UK.”

Co-Chairs of the Board of Trustees, Sarah Hobbs and Dave Swinden added: “Working with Gareth over the last 11.5 years has been a privilege. His passion, commitment, energy, and vision have driven the Charity forward strategically and operationally. He has made a substantial and respected contribution to tackling food insecurity (and waste) throughout the Yorkshire region. His creativity, innovation, and careful planning leave FSY in an exceptionally strong position to grow its charitable operations.

Gareth leaves with the full support of the Trustees as he takes up his new position within FareShare UK. We thank him for his contribution as our CEO and he leaves with our sincere and very best wishes.”
