FareShare Yorkshire are teaming up with Tesco and FareShare UK again this festive season for a wonderful Winter collection.

We expect this to be a tricky, and certainly busy, season. Local Tesco stores will be hosting collections from 1st-3rd December, some of which will be collecting for one of our charity partners, The Trussell Trust. Tesco also kindly top-up with a financial donation of 20% of the value of the items donated by customers.

Last year was a great success, giving us an array of different items to help us through the Winter. We saw everything from traditional items like jams, chutneys and tinned vegetables, to sweet treats and savoury essentials.

Volunteers are the heartbeat of these collections, encouraging donations and spreading festive cheer to the Tesco customers on the run-up to Christmas. In an average 3-hour shift, volunteers could collect up enough food to go towards 600 meals!
