Yorkshire Life Magazine chooses FareShare Yorkshire

Yorkshire Life Magazine has chosen FareShare Yorkshire as its charitable partner for the 2019 Yorkshire Food & Drink Awards. The event is being held on the 17th September at the Principal Hotel in York and recognises the very best of food and drink in Yorkshire.

As Yorkshire Life Magazine’s charitable partner the event will raise funds for the continued work of our charity to redistribute more surplus food to vital frontline organisations.

This includes a silent auction for the 250 attendees and donations made on the night.

270,000 tonnes of perfectly edible food gets wasted by the food industry each year.

That’s enough for nearly 650,000,000 meals
