Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation has contributed towards 100,000 meals at vital frontline organisations by supporting FareShare Yorkshire with quality surplus food since the winter of 2018.

The Wakefield-based company has donated a wide range of in-date ambient stock including sacks of flour, tens of thousands of eggs and delicious school milk.

Their generous support has so far aided 280 charities and organisations, including many breakfast clubs and nurseries in highly deprived areas, giving them a wonderful range of different food and drink items. 

Head of Development at FareShare Yorkshire, Jonathan Williams, said: “YPO has been a tremendous donor to our charity over the last two years. Their donations have made a huge difference to hundreds of wonderful charities and community organisations, particularly for the benefit of children. Faye has been tireless in her support of this initiative and we are so grateful for her support.”
